When we got back from our Georgia tour, it was the end of October, so we had to go pick out our pumpkin. If you kow us me, you know that we can't just go to Safeway and buy a pumpkin from the pile. No, we had to find a cool place to take pictures pick out our own pumpkin for carving. We surveyed the masses....and picked G&M farms! Grammy was still in town, so it was a nice outing for all of us.
Maddox really enjoyed it because, in true farm form, it had all kinds of animals to see. He is really into farm animals right now. I am so proud of him for branching out from his previous interest in only zoo animals. Ok side story: For months, he has just said "mooo" when referring to cows as much as we tried to teach him the actual name of the animal. Well when we were driving from Parrott to Atlanta, he saw a Chick-Fil-A billboard, you know with all of the cute cows...and wait for it...he just blurted out, "cow" as clear as day. He then said it over and over for about 20 minutes. I was so proud that I almost cried. Wow, children really do change you. Ok back to the story at hand.
We toured the animal part and saw cows, goats, sheep, etc.
Next they had what we thought was a clever idea...
a pit full of corn....however, there must have been a billion flies in there...so that part of our tour was short lived.
Thankfully Grammy spotted a playground to entice Maddox with in order get him to leave the fly corn pit with out any tears.
The idea of riding the pony was better in theory, but we got a cute picture.
Petting zoos are always fun, and the animals were in their costumes for Halloween. Very cute!
Now for the whole reason we were there....the pumpkins! Maddox was happy to pull the wagon and did a pretty good job if I do say so myself.
It was funny that he knew what to do without any prompting.
That joker loaded up pumpkins like it was his job.
A little help Grammy
This is Maddox's look as we told him that we didn't need anymore pumpkins.
Still determined to find more...
"Please!"
We somehow talked him into keeping just one.
So proud of our pumpkin!
Stay tuned for the carving!
