Beckett Month 2

Don't let this sweet and happy looking face fool you. He is not always this happy.

On May 24th Beckett was 2 months old....really? How is it possible? He had his 2 month appointment on the 25th, and he proved that he is still growing quickly. Beckett now weighs 14 lbs. and 4.5 oz. which puts him in the 95 percentile. He is 24 inches long and in the 85 percentile in height. Beckett is much like his brother was on the growth charts except for his head circumference which is only in the 67 percentile. Maddox's head was basically off the charts. Anyway, I cannot believe that this little guy has already been in our lives for 2 whole months and at the same time I can't really remember what it was like without him. He is doing a lot better with his reflux, gas, and colick (pretty sure they are all the same and basically make him cry and wake up a lot). Anyway, he sleeps a little longer than he used to and is
starting to go longer between feedings. Our schedule is as follows: 6:30 eat and cartoons with brother, 9:00 eat then stroll time, 10:00 park time for big brother, then alternating eat, sleep, poop, repeat. He is definitely his own person and not at all like his brother in so many ways. Beckett knows what he wants and when he wants it. If he is not ready to eat, he WILL NOT eat. If he doesn't want you to put him down, you WILL NOT put him down. He is pretty much in charge right now because if you try to go against his wishes...SCREAMING insues. So for now, we do what he says. I know many other (more disciplined) mother's would slap my wrist and say that I should go ahead and train him to do as I want now. However, I am just in survival mode right now...when I am back to 100% again, I will do better. For now, we do what makes our ears feel good which is make him happy ( aka: stop screaming). Other milestones that he has hit this month: smiling a lot, starting to babble and coo more, and he has found his tongue.  Beckett does have a terrible case of cradle cap which I am working on, and he also has a little bit of eczema. Other than that, he is pretty much your normal bobble headed baby. He is doing great with tummy time, and he is showing signs that he is ready to roll over. Beckett has now been to church for the first time, San Francisco to see all of the sites, and had a visit from his girlfriend Olivia Carruth which you will hear more about soon. Pretty cool kid if you ask me!

Seeing Golden Gate for the first time!
