Here are a few things about the boys at this point in life.
Maddox is really into animals which has been the case for a while now. His favorite animals right now are zebras and horses (so he says at this moment because I just asked him). He "wuvs" to eat cantaloupe and apples, peeled but whole. Cheeseburgers, pizza, and spaghetti are his favorites right now. He would really rather have snacks than anything else. We are working on expanding his palate, but I am afraid he gets those cravings from his mom. His favorite shows are basically the Disney Jr. line up...Octonauts, Imagination Movers, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He loves to go to the library for storytime, and he always wants to check out books about "weal" (real) animals. His favorite bedtime books are Curious George. He likes to sing You Are My Sushine and Jesus Loves Me at bedtime after prayers. Maddox asks for "wed dwink" a lot which pretty much means any type of juice. He says things like, "daddy you my best fwend" and "mama you the best" and "I wanna nugguh (snuggle) you." and when we ask him why, he says "because now." I recently ask him where he got a certain idea, he said, "out of my mouf." I am so thankful to have him in my life. He makes me laugh on a daily basis.
Beckett is a completely different animal. We have to put the trash can up high so that he can't throw random objects in to it. He also likes to push chairs around the room for no reason. He loves to say "daddy" and "baby" and "uh oh" and "cheese." He says "daddy" when I ask him to say mama. It's kind of a joke to him at this point, but he says mama if he is in distress. He likes animals too, and pants every time he sees a dog. Becks also LOVES to climb...on anything and everything. So far he has stood on two tables, various boxes, any toy that will hold him. His favorite foods are pickles, strawberries, yogurt, milk, spaghetti, and suckers. Building towers is one of his favorite play time activities as well as chasing his brother around and doing anything outside. He never misses a plane flying over and points at every one. High fives and kisses are favorites of his too. I am loving how his personality is really starting to come out lately. I cannot wait until he really starts talking. I have a feeling that he is going to be a riot like his brother.
These little cuties race up the stairs every night for bath time. So far Maddox wins every time, but I have a feeling that might change in a year.
