Dear Baby Becks,
Well, I cannot believe that you are already a year old. It seems like yesterday that we moved across the country expecting your arrival in about a month. I was so nervous about finding the right doctors and hospital for your delivery. I wanted the new place to be perfect for you, and I was trying to prepare your brother for your arrival as well. We were so excited to finally meet you after anticipating what you would be like for months. We wondered if you would have dark or light hair..if you would be a big baby or not..if you would have a personality like your brother or be completely different. We were so incredibly happy when you finally arrived. You were a perfectly beautiful baby boy! From that first day and evey day since, you have brought so much joy to our lives. You are your own person in every way, and I love that about you. You only share a few similarities with Maddox. You are an observer for the most part and watch things for a long time before you take part in an activity. Night time is not your favorite time, but mama has tried to be patient with you on that one. Snuggling, being tickled, and watching big brother do things are your favorite activitie. You know what you want and will not hesitate to make some noise if you aren't getting it. I love how you are so persistent like your daddy. You will not give up until you do what you set out to do. That will help you in the future. You love to figure things out and will spend 10 of 15 minutes trying to put a top on your sippy cup or put a plastic egg back together. You are my problem solver. Ritz crackers are your favorite snack so far. Watermelon and steak are also high on your list. You have daddy wrapped around your finger because you smile from ear to ear whenever he walks in the room and say, "dada dada." We can't wait to see what all you get into in the next few years. You and your brother are gonna have so much fun if you don't kill each other first. Mama and daddy love you Beckett James! Thanks for being such a blessing in our lives. Can't wait to see what God has planned for you life little man!
