This was our first time actually dying Easter eggs. I wasn't sure about how it was going to go...I thought we would end up with dye all over the floor to be completely honest.
Maddox actually suprised me and did really well with the whole process.
I decided to do the eggs because he has been learning his colors over the past few months and is REALLY into them right now. He looks for colors everwhere we go. His favorite thing is to put a lego up to his eyes working as his "noculas" or binoculars to look for certain colors around the room.
It was really hard for this little boy to wait on the eggs to take the color. He watched and watched. "weddy mama?"
Here he is telling me the colors, "geen, boo, onge, puppal..."
Easter morning the boys had these baskets waiting on them before we headed to church to celebrate that Jesus is ALIVE. Grammy did a great job on these handpainted baskets. Yaya and Grammy contributed to all of the loot!
His future's soooo bright...He's gotta wear shades.
Enjoying the first of MANY pieces of candy that day. He hunted for eggs and loved it! I am not sure why I don't have any pictures of him actually hunting.
After church, we headed to the Smoak's house to have some food and fun with their family! Maddox and Logan digging!
We had an Easter egg hunt with Logan, Chandler, and Jett too.
Maddox was sooo excited each time he found an egg.
"Painting" the rocks with chalk
Collecting rocks with Jett.
We left the Smoak's house and headed to see George, Adrienne, and Alex!
Alex was serious about the candy!
Although we missed being with our actual family, it sure felt like we spent the holiday with "family" here in California. We have been nothing but welcomed and loved, and that feels great!
